Police clearance certificate

It usually takes up to 3-5 weeks to obtain Police clearance certificate (Certificate of no criminal record). The Certificate is issued in English or Russian by the Consulate after getting Information from Ministry of Internal Affairs and does not require apostille. The consular fee for the certificate is 79 NZD (in English) or 40 NZD (in Russian) - for non-Russian citizens; 36 NZD (in English) or 18 NZD (in Russian) - for Russian citizens.

   To obtain a Police clearance certificate you should submit to the Consular section of the Embassy the following documents (if you visit in person): 

      -  Application for obtaining Police clearance certificate;

      -  Current passport;

      -  Copy of Russian visa (and/or copy of a document with address in Russia – migration card);

      -  Self-addressed return envelope (if you’d like to receive it by post). 

   If someone  apply by post the following documents are required: 

     -   Application, signature on the application must be witnessed either by a Notary Public or by a Justice of the Peace; 

      -  Certified copy of your passport page with your photo and personal details (must be certified either by a Notary Public or by a Justice of the Peace);

     -  Copy of Russian visa (and/or copy of a document with address in Russia – migration card);

      -  Self-addressed envelope (if you’d like to receive it by post). 

The online payment details will be sent by email upon the receipt by post the required set of documents.
